Hard Rock In Central PA
Although I usually report on concerts and events in Philadelphia, I’ve had many opportunities recently to attend shows in the area of Pennsylvania where I grew up. There are an impressive number of talented bands making their rounds through the York/Lancaster/Harrisburg nightclubs. The best thing about these small venues is that it doesn’t cost very much to get in and see a couple of live bands a night, around $5 – $25 for cover or a ticket. An intimate bar setting allows the band to interact with the audience during the show and chat between sets.

Watch Live Concerts From Your Living Room
Social interaction through shared interests is a great method of meeting new people or learning new things. Music is often the soundtrack playing in the background of our daily routine, from workout tunes to television jingles to movie scores. Attending an event can be experienced in person or virtually through live streaming websites.

Blue October Moves The Crowd To Its Feet At The Historical Tower Theater
Last spring, Texas rock artists, Blue October, played an acoustic set during a sold out show at the TLA in Philadelphia. Currently on tour promoting their new album, Any Man In America, the band chose the Tower Theater in Upper Darby for the electrifying October 13 concert. Presented by Radio 104.5 and with opening acts, Ashleigh Stone and IAmDynamite, the upscale venue was the perfect setting to showcase the talented musicians.

Blue October Brings Their Acoustic Tour To Philadelphia
Blue October, the platinum-selling rock band that calls Texas home, has been touring the East Coast in promotion of their latest album release, Ugly Side: An Acoustic Evening With Blue October. The 11-track album is a result of live recordings from a sold out tour of Houston, Austin, and Dallas, TX in July 2010. The bipolar art rockers are known for their eclectic mix of musical styles, haunting melodies, and brutally honest lyrics. The unplugged versions of hard hitting songs such as Dirt Room or The End are in no way diminished in energy and expression.

Facebook's Music Scene
One of my published articles from Examiner.com:
Facebook's music scene
Using social media sites to promote a career or business venture can be extremely successful. It will take hard work and dedication, however, as well as making personal connections with the public and other professionals. Facebook is a valuable resource for those in any facet of the music industry, including singers, musicians, producers, radio stations, and concert venues. Sharing links, creating event pages, and using applications such as iLike will spread the word quickly, especially when used in conjunction with other media platforms.

The Start of Something New
Dictionary.com defines music as: "an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color."
I wanted to create a music blog to showcase articles I have written about concerts and networking in the music industry, as well as showcase new talent and promote some of my favorite bands.
